Our Roots
Reggio Emilia-inspired
The Reggio Emilia approach is an educational philosophy and pedagogy focused on preschool and primary education. This approach is a student-centered and constructivist self-guided curriculum that uses self-directed, experiential learning in relationship-driven environments. The program is based on the principles of respect, responsibility and community through exploration, discovery and play.

What They Need
Outdoor Play
Essential for Growth

Play-based and child-directed environments provide an opportunity for preschool- aged children to develop necessary social skills such as conflict resolution, sharing and negotiation. Acquisition of these skills will help children to gain confidence and the ability to solve problems. “In a teacher directed setting adults are in charge, they make decisions for children and solve their problems. In play, children make their own decisions and solve their own problems. In adult-directed settings, children are weak and vulnerable. In play, they are strong and powerful” (Gray, 2013 p.37).
About Us
With over 25 yrs of previous experience in working with children of all ages, Jenny Adams began Love and Learning Child Care began in her Henefer home in March of 2019. She only intended to care for a few children, but she soon found the joy in being a positive influence in the lives of young children and she became state licensed in May 2022. With the high demand of quality child care, the program grew beyond the physical space of Jenny's home in the spring of 2023. Thus, the dream of opening her own child care center was born.
With the help of quality staff, Love and Learning continues to grow, serving families and influencing young children in an enormously positive way.
